My ugly mug....
My name is Robyn. That's right with a Y. My parents
doomed me to a life of having my name spelled wrong. I was teased as a kid and
called rocking robin, robin red breast, blah blah blah. Good thing I was a
ninja at an early age. My good friends always lovingly called me byrd, byrdie,
byrdgirl all through school. So its no surprise how I ended up with a bird dog.
It's the reason why my email is byrdgirl50@aol.com and my hunting dog
photography business is called Byrd Dog Photography and I lurk forums with the tag
of Byrdgirl. I guess it was all meant to be.
Love adventure!
I love photography, cooking, hiking, traveling, fly fishing, our GSP's, and punching people in the face. My first true love in life is combat
sports. I started doing karate when I was 4, receiving my first black belt when
I was 9. When I was in my early 20's I got involved with Mixed Martial Arts and pretty quickly starting fighting in the
golden gloves for boxing and my true love Muay Thai kickboxing. I have fought up and down the east coast, trained and fought in Thailand more than once, I held 3 domestic titles and 1 international title as an amateur and was undefeated as a pro. I own Gallatin Valley Martial Arts in Bozeman, MT.

I was born and raised in the northern suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Roughly five years ago I packed up and headed west to Montana. And although I don't have them in my daily possession I will always have my very loved and cherished Cleo and Luna. They have always been and will continue to be lights in my life.
Through Cleo, Luna, Sage and now Figs I have gotten outside almost everyday, we get into fields, ponds and woods more than I would without them. I can't stress enough to other newbies to get out
there and trial and hunt test. Meet people, train your pup and get the most out
of the experience. It might just change your life. It has for me. So here I am....pics and all. I love my dogs....maybe
too much. (Joking, you can never love a good hunting dog too much). And now
you've seen me the crazy voice behind this blog. Hopefully you still stick
around to continue to listen to me rant and share the hi's and low's of this great sport.
I know just enough about blogs to have been able to find yours. Today, I have spent way too much time wandering, reading, laughing and enjoying your stories and pictures. And I have learned more about my neighbors RobYn and Jim. Great job girl...and your mug ain't ugly! PS- Do like your Byrd Dog Photography logo with pretty girl LUNA!

ReplyDeleteHi Robyn,
ReplyDeleteI recently adopted a 1 year old GSP and we are working with him on learning to live with cats. We have 2 cats who we love dearly. I was wondering if you had any pointers on getting them to live peacefully together? We will be having a trainer come to the house as well to help us out. So far it's day 3 and we are taking everyone precaution to introducing them slowly and keeping everyone safe. I would love to hear from you. My email address is dwyerkm15@gmail.com
